Longing...

(Dedicated to my late father who passed away when I was 3 years old.  He would have been 89 today)

I long to see your eyes
To know what's in your heart
Where those eyes may be
They must be looking down at me.

I long for your embrace
Your cheeks touching my face
To wipe away my tears
During my moments of fears.

I long for you to be with me
When life's joys are bounty
When heaven on earth surrounds
When God's grace abounds.

I long for you to carry me
Like a child, free of misery
Come and hold my hand
Guide me as I walk through the sand.

I long for you to look at me
And say that you love me
A father knows best
For a child and all the rest.

Why on earth God took you away?
Left me longing for you with great dismay?
Heaven must be in need
Of a father like you, I mus say.

Papa, I shall see you someday
Heaven is not that far away
Longing for you, please allow me
Longing for each other, so must we...

An Open Letter to Piers Morgan

Dear Mr. Morgan,

I am writing on behalf of all of the fans of Luigi Seno, who last week was dropped from America’s Got Talent. As his fans, we are very upset that he did not make it into the top 24. We all did our part to vote for him as much as humanly possible, but it just didn’t seem to be enough.  Mr. Morgan, just five seconds before Luigi finished his song, you X’ed him. Along with being unrepresentative of his performance, we feel that this act was extremely harmful to the amount of votes Luigi would receive from the rest of America later that night.

Luigi’s largest fan base comes from his home country: the Philippines. Luigi has become a household name there, and a source of inspiration among the barrios of this small but passionate country. To add to this, the many Filipino émigrés who now live within the United States see their own struggle for a better life within Luigi. We want him to be able to support his family by doing what he loves to do with his God-given talent to entertain.

Luigi has become a local hero to a country ravaged by poverty and corruption. He is a shining beacon of hope whose talent and good intentions have proved to us all that a humble boy from the Philippines can immigrate to the US and inspire all those around him.

Thank you for your time.

Gina Moss
